Regulation 11 sets forth the conditions and procedures for the mandatory provision of free food and/or supplements to workers and employees working in companies under specific conditions and organization of work.
According to Regulation 11 laying down the conditions and procedures for the provision of free food and/or supplements (prom. SG 1/2006) all organizations that meet one of the following criteria are obliged to provide free food to their employees.
In cases of impact of one of the elements described in Art. 2, para. 1, p. 6, above the established norms and conditions (exposure to carcinogens, mutagens, dust, heavy metals, organic solvents, other chemical agents or noise).
In a specific organization of work – any place, enterprise, institution, organization, cooperative, establishment, object and the like, where paid labour takes place, and the nature of work requires the establishment of a continuous labour process.
In cases of “remote sites” – such can be considered workplaces that are so remote that do not provide workers with access to public eating places or food stores at affordable prices, during the time specified for this.
Subject to the provisions of Art. 285 of the Labour Code, food may also be provided in the form of food vouchers under Regulation 11.
